INTRODUCTION

We arrived at the school premises 2:45pm. We first went to the headmistress to greet her after which we went to greet the patron too. The patron then took us to the form one classroom and asked them to tidy up the class since it was messy. The meeting started at 3:oopm. Some of the participants had been punished by their teacher to sweep the school premises so they did not start with the rest.

Team members were asked to share with the class how they spent the vacation. Richard Loh said some of the things he did during the vacation were involving himself in Easter activities at his church, he also went to the beach. Amidst all the fun he had, he was hit with  sad news of his bosom friend who drowned in the sea.

                     IMG_1887.JPG  IMG_1891.JPG  IMG_1893.JPG

Tijani also shared his experience. He was among the 25 boys squad who went on a one week soccer trip to Amasaman. There, he featured in all three matches they played, they won two and lost one. He was a key member of the his soccer team and assisted in some of the goals scored by his colleagues.

Diana assisted her aunt in selling food throughout the vacation.

Mariam Mustapha also assisted her mother in working out and handling house chores.

INTRODUCTION TO NEW NAME

Team members were asked if they knew the full meaning of PHC. They answered correctly. Facilitators then told the class the the name had been changed. They were then told that the change was due to the fact that the meeting is not specifically limited to health discussions only. So VOICES fellows came up with a new name to be used, hence the Community Action Team. (CAT).

PARTY FOR NAME CHANGE

We had a little party for the name change.
